Travellers booked to fly out of London are facing delays of up to two hours this morning – due to thick fog.

British Airways warned people booked on flights this morning that fog was affecting schedules at Gatwick, Heathrow and City Airport.

Would-be holidaymakers and other passengers took to social media to complain that they were likely to miss appointments (and in once case a wedding) because of the disruption at Gatwick.

Sat on the plane 2 hours delayed. I will miss my meeting in Madrid so just flying to Madrid to board a plane to come back to Gatwick. 😑
