De Gea completes United medical

FOOTBALL: Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea is expected to finally rubber-stamp his £17.8m switch to Manchester United after completing a medical yesterday. The 20-year-old’s signature will take Sir Alex Ferguson’s summer spending to £50m following the arrivals of Phil Jones and Ashley Young.
