The Women’s Champions League will be streamed live for free around the world for the next four seasons following a landmark deal with sports platform Dazn.

The streaming service, dubbed the “Netflix of sports”, has acquired the rights to the tournament from UEFA until 2025.

It has also agreed a partnership with Youtube to host the games, meaning they will be available free around the globe.

The deal marks the first time UEFA has centralised all women’s Champions League fixtures globally.

It is also one of the largest broadcast deals in women’s club football history. Dazn said it would bring “visibility like never before to players, clubs, and the elite competition itself”.

“Dazn is thrilled to be the new global broadcaster for UEFA Women’s Champions League and cannot wait to work with Youtube and Google to bring fans closer to the game and shine a brighter light on its stars than ever before,” said co-chief executive James Rushton.

For the first two seasons fans will be able to watch live and on demand all 61 matches from the group stage onwards on Dazn and free on Dazn’s Youtube channel.

From 2023 to 2025 all 61 matches will be live on Dazn while 19 matches will be made available for free on Dazn’s Youtube channel.

Dazn, which launched in the UK last year, has been snapping up broadcast rights to major sports events as it continues to roll out its streaming service.

The company, owned by billionaire Len Blavatnik, earlier this month inked a deal with Eddie Hearn’s boxing promoter Matchroom to show its fights exclusively. The deal was worth a reported £100m.

Dazn has also been linked with a potential bid for BT Sport.
