RAILWAY maintenance cuts could lead to another crash on the scale of the Paddington disaster, union bosses warned yesterday. The RMT said “massive” cuts to track and signalling repairs would put thousands of passengers at risk. The warning came on the 10th anniversary of the crash that killed 31 and that resulted in the break-up of Railtrack and the handing over of rail infrastructure to Network Rail.
