RUGBY UNION: Clermont’s Canadian lock Jamie Cudmore has been banned for 10 weeks for stamping against Saracens last weekend.

Cudmore’s offence in the Heineken Cup victory was deemed top entry, earning him a length suspension, at an independent hearing in Dublin yesterday. Wales and Cardiff flanker Martyn Williams will be available for the whole autumn series after escaping with a two-week ban for striking with the knee.
