A crypto-trading hamster known as Mr Goxx is dishing out investment advice to thousands of online followers via Twitch streams.

In adorable livestreams the pocket sized trader makes investments from a high tech office attached to his cage.

I have instructed my human business partner to get me a decent computer setup for my office. Best of all: It's safe to eat 🐹 #hamster #Crypto #CryptoNews #trading pic.twitter.com/O3kXJjXV9Y

The furry investment guru runs on an “intention wheel” to select an asset before running through one of two tunnels, labelled buy or sell, to place an order on an exchange. And yes, he is using real money.

The rodent has a nose for a deal and reportedly rarely lets paper paws get the best of him. Since being given an initial bankroll of €326 when his day trading career began in June, Mr Goxx’s portfolio is up €63.27, some 19.41 per cent.

That means that Mr Goxx is performing better than the Nasdaq 100, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway and the S&P 500.

Despite his breakaway success Mr Goxx regularly reminds viewers that mimicking his financial trades may lead to a severe financial loss and that his investments are shown for entertainment purposes rather than as financial advice.

When Mr Goxx is ready to make a trade his Twitch followers, which number above 5.2k, are notified that the celebrity trader is in the office. Individual videos have already racked up as many as 11.7k views.
