Markets cooling down after yesterday’s highs
Bitcoin posted a high of $18,318 yesterday but the markets have cooled somewhat today with the leading coin at $17,678 at the time of writing. Ethereum is back below $1,300 and trading for $1,287. While the leading cryptos are down from yesterday, both are up by more than 4% over seven days. It also puts Bitcoin down by 0.84% over the last six months, a notable number considering the events of the last few months.
The majority of the crypto market has followed Bitcoin into the red today after yesterday’s action. The Fear and Greed Index is showing a brief respite from extreme uncertainty, albeit still in Fear territory. Will we see this trend continue into the weekend?
