Coffee on the go: Costa launches pre-order service

Costa Coffee is planning to launch a pre-order service, allowing customers to have their drinks waiting for them when they arrive in store.

The new feature, which will be rolled out across the company's London coffee shops will be available to Costa Coffee members who use its app, Costa said.

The app shows customers where their closest coffee shop is and stores past choices so they can quickly be re-ordered.

Global digital and loyalty director Arslan Sharif said: “Customer experience is at the heart of everything we do at Costa Coffee and we understand the importance of delivering innovations to ensure our customers get the best experience from our brand.

"Our insights tell us that customers are demanding more and expect innovations which help enhance their day-to-day busy lives by making it easy and convenient to buy their favourite drink; our new Costa Collect service does exactly this.

"We’re delighted to be able to offer customers across London the chance to take back some precious time in their day with the launch of Costa Collect.”

The service will be expanded across the UK next year, Sharif said.
