CitySprint look to expand as employment drive for 600 new couriers begins

Having come in for criticism in recent weeks, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) acknowledged that the UK’s listing regime was seen by some as too complicated.

CitySprint, the UK’s largest same day distribution company, has announced that it is looking for an extra 600 new couriers across the UK.

The recruitment drive is in response to a significant uplift in logistics requirements, particularly around the London area.

High demand for products bought online is thought to be one of the reasons for the logistical difficulties faced by companies such as CitySprint.

CitySprint will favour those with small or large vans, and the new recruits will support the high-growth retail and healthcare segments.

Mark Footman, Chief Operations Officer at CitySprint, commented: “Our focus is always on providing our clients with the best and smoothest-possible service and, in turn, helping them do the same for their customers.

We are committed to deliver a first-class service to each of our clients all year round so we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure the fleet is prepared to face anything that comes our way in the coming months as the business continues to grow.”
