HANESH PURI COCA COLA ENTERPRISES
“I think prices will level out soon, and consumer spending will increase. I’m personally waiting for a year to monitor market fluctuations before I make any large purchases. Consumers don’t yet have the confidence to spend.”

IAN JACKSON IROKO SECURITIES
“Although it came in below economists expectations, I wasn’t disappointed in the CPI data yesterday. Consumer confidence is slowly returning. I expect inflation will stabilise over the next couple of months and then rise.”

CHRIS LESSE INTERNATIONAL BANK
“Prices will go up, and consumers will return to the shops. I’m concerned about quantitative easing, though. The government has pushed money into the economy, and the amount of debt we’re left with is a huge worry.”
