City Tube station Mansion House closed this morning amid Southern strike chaos

Mansion House Tube station in the City is closed this morning due to an absence of staff, affecting District and Circle Line services.

Meanwhile, Temple station is also shut for the same reason.

The Tube disruption follows yesterday's chaos at a number of the capital's busiest stations, and comes as the latest round of Southern rail industrial action enters its second day.

The strikes are expected to cost the UK economy tens of millions of pounds, with around 300,000 commuters left stranded as a result of the rail workers' walkout.
