Today's City Moves cover financial services, foreign exchange, technology and venture funding. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

EY

EY has appointed Dan Cooper to the role of UK financial services banking and capital markets (BCM) leader. He will take over the role in April from Robert Cubbage, who is retiring. Dan started his career at PWC in 1998 where he qualified as a chartered accountant in the BCM team. He joined the structured finance team at EY in 2003 and subsequently transferred across to the UK financial services team in 2006. Dan was promoted to partner to 2009.

Moneycorp

Former professional England rugby player Andy Goode has been appointed head of strategic sales at Moneycorp. Andy’s new role will see him develop Moneycorp’s network of corporate and high net worth clients, as they seek specialist support with international payments and managing foreign exchange risk. Andy will work with the corporate international payments team, led by managing director Lee McDarby, and head of European business development, Matthew Crate. In 2016, this area of the business achieved significant growth, thanks to enhancements in its product offerings and increased demand for FX support from businesses tackling sterling volatility following the Brexit vote.

Seedrs

Crowdfunding platform Seedrs has made two new appointments for its management team. Jeff Kelisky, who led the growth of online mapping business, Multimap, and sold it to Microsoft, has been appointed as chief operating officer. Ricardo Brizido, the former chief technology officer of Rocket Internet’s Jovago and online beauty firm LIB Group, has been appointed as chief technology officer. Jeff will oversee operations in the newly created role at the company, with the heads of product development, technology, legal and marketing and business development all reporting into him. Ricardo will lead all aspects of the firm’s technology strategy and operations, overseeing an engineering team.

Egress Software Technologies

Experienced chairman, chief executive and non-executive director Martin Hiscox, who has over 25 years of experience in fast-growth technology businesses, has joined market-leading data security provider Egress Software Technologies. Martin brings a wealth of experience to his latest position, having spent over 25 years in private equity-funded technology start-ups, acquisitions, mergers and trade sales. He has focused on helping develop sales and marketing strategies. Martin holds an MBA from Brunel and Henley Management College and a Higher Certificate in Computer Science. He is also a freeman and liveryman of Canada, an elite member of the British Computer Society and a chartered IT engineer.
