CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
RBC Capital Markets
RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada, yesterday announced the appointment of Dr John Roberts as non-executive chairman of Royal Bank of Canada Europe Ltd (RBCEL), the main European subsidiary of RBC, headquartered in London. Roberts has been with RBC since September 2005, when he joined as non-executive director on the Board of RBCEL and chairman of RBCEL’s Audit Committee.
Saxo Bank
Saxo Bank London has appointed Nick Beecroft as senior foreign exchange consultant. Beecroft will be responsible for raising the profile of Saxo Bank’s FX business in the UK and advising the bank on its strategy, targeting both institutional and high net worth investors.
Langholm Capital
Independent mid-market investment fund Langholm Capital announced that Steven Esom has joined them as operating partner. Esom, who is currently a non-executive director of Carphone Warehouse, has served as managing director of Waitrose and as executive director for food at Marks & Spencer.
