CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS

Execution
Execution has taken on Joseph Dickerson to strengthen its banking equity research team. Joseph will be responsible for developing coverage on HSBC, Standard Chartered and the Spanish banking sector. He joins Execution from Citadel Investment group where he was a senior analyst. He will work with Fiona Swaffield and Anke Reigen in the company’s experienced banking team.

Veritas

Farouk Abillama has joined Veritas Asset Management as senior sales manager. Farouk’s responsibilities will include raising assets for the group’s Real Return range of hedge funds. He joins Veritas from Dresdner Kleinwort, where he was vice president of capital introduction, working for their Hedge Funds Solutions Group.

Reliance Mutual Insurance Society
Reliance Mutual Insurance Society has appointed Cameron Mills as chief actuary as of September and succeeding the current post holder Tim Birse on 17 October. Mills has previously been interim chief actuary at Baroda L&G Life Insurance as one of three ‘thought leaders’.

 He has a wealth of experience in financial service, having worked for Standard Life, Zapit and Resolution Life in a number of senior roles. Commenting on the appointment, Mark Goodale, Reliance Mutual’s chief executive said, “Cameron with his vast experience will be an extremely valuable member of our senior management team as our industry enters a new post ‘credit crunch’ era and all the challenges and opportunities that may bring.

“As a business Reliance Mutual is well positioned going forward with a very strong and talented management team in place.”

Gartmore

Robert Tull has been taken on by Gartmore as portfolio manager and analyst in the company’s Tokyo office. Joining in September, Robert will be responsible for strengthening the research capability of the team in Japan whilst supporting fund managers of the Japanese equity, John Stewart and Justin Bowles, in providing portfolio management.

Kleenair Systems International
Former Australian Davis Cup Player Wayne Vivian Reid OBE has joined Kleenair Systems International as its new executive director.

Wayne has a wealth of business experience. Having developed a major quarrying, concrete and asphalt business in his mid twenties.

He has also been a director of 12 Australian companies covering a wide range of business interests including Nabisco Australia, Kiwi Boot Polish, and a major airline.
