CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS

Piper Jaffray
The boutique investment bank has hired Richard Kirkham, formerly a partner at Oriel Securities, as a principal of European equity sales.

Kirkham was previously a director of UK small and mid-cap sales at Teather and Greenwood. He will be responsible for developing business relationships with assigned institutional accounts.

Barclaycard
Barclaycard has appointed David Daniel as commercial marketing head.

Daniel has been a member of Barclays’ global leaders programme since joining the bank in 2007. In his most recent role with Barclays Commercial Bank, he helped launch the Barclays Latitude Club to customers across Europe and the emerging markets.

Panmure Gordon
The stockbroker has appointed Jean Roche as a retail analyst, on the heels of six recent new hires at the firm.

Simon French and Alison Turner have joined the research team to cover leisure and mining respectively, while Dominique Ellis, April Day, Jeremy Smith and Ian Rolfe have all joined the sales team.

Vertu Motors
David Malcolm Forbes has joined the car dealership as an independent non-executive director.

Forbes currently holds the position of managing director at Rothschild. He is a chartered accountant, with specific expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy and finance.

Olswang
Frans Post, formerly a finance director for Clifford Chance, has been appointed as chief financial officer of law firm Olswang.

While at Clifford Chance, Post, a chartered controller, worked as finance director in Amsterdam and later in the Americas region.

Unum
Malcolm McCaig, a risk expert, has joined the UK group risk provider as a non-executive director.

McCaig was previously lead partner in charge of Deloitte’s enterprising risk management practice. He also currently sits on the board at Renaissance Capital, Barbon Insurance, Kent Reliance Building Society and housebuilder Crest Nicholson.

Trucost
The environmental data company has appointed Paul Druckman, chairman of the Prince of Wales’s accounting and sustainability programme as its new chairman.

Druckman has also previously served as president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales.
