The accountancy firm has appointed Marco Amitrano to lead its UK risk assurance business.
Amitrano, 39, joined the firm in 1992, and worked first in Newcastle and then for three years in the Chicago office. Most recently, he has had responsibility for all of the firm’s audit and related services to the UK subsidiaries of global companies.

He is also a member of the PwC UK assurance executive board.

Kingfisher
The home improvement retailer has hired Ian Playford as its new group property director.

Playford, 41, joins on 19 October and will also be a member of the firm’s retail board, responsible for maximising returns from its £3.2bn international property portfolio and supporting its store opening plans in Europe.

He is currently chief executive for Western Europe and Russia at property development and investment group Parkridge Holdings, which he joined in 2006.

He also previously ran the corporate finance team at King Sturge.

Jupiter Asset Management
The fund management group has appointed David Conway as sales director for the Asia Pacific region, effective from October.

Conway has over 16 years of experience in the financial services sector and joins from Royal Skandia, where he most recently worked as regional manager for Singapore and manager of key accounts across Asia.

Field Fisher Waterhouse
Michael Mulligan is to join the City law firm as a partner in its dispute resolution practice and a member of its cross-practice business recovery and insolvency team.

Mulligan specialises in contentious insolvency, asset recovery and fraud work, and joins from Halliwells, where he spent the past eight years.
Mercer

The consultancy firm has appointed Rob Goward as a principal and client manager.

Goward previously worked for Mercer between 2000 and 2007, before leaving to become human resources director for spirits group Maxxium Worldwide, which owns the Remy Cointreau, Jim Beam and Absolut brands.

He also previously held senior corporate HR roles with Seagram and Smith and Nephew.

UniCredit Group
The international financial services group has hired Patrik Olsson as global head of rates, a role based in London.

Olsson joins from ABN Amro/Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was global head of local markets, focusing on trading and sales across rates, forex and credit products.

He originally joined ABN Amro in 2003 as global head of rates trading, and has also worked at Deutsche Bank and Salomon Brothers.

Couchman Harrington Associates

The pair have over 20 years of experience advising blue-chip clients such as the Football League, Premier Rugby and Football Dataco, the joint venture between the FA Premier League and the Football League.

Both join from rival Addleshaw Goddard, where Price was formerly head of sport and Burton was a legal director.
