White & Case
The law firm has appointed London partner Oliver Brettle to its global executive committee.

Brettle will retain his responsibilities as executive partner in the London office, which he has led for the past year.

He replaces New York-based partner Dimitrios Drivas on the committee. Drivas is stepping down from the post to devote more time to developing the firm’s intellectual property practice, which he leads globally.

PSigma
The investment management firm has appointed Geoff Cooper to its investment team.

Cooper has over 13 years of experience in the sector, having originally joined Fleming Private Asset Management in 1996. He most recently worked at Fortis Private Investment Management.

RBC Capital Markets
The corporate and investment banking arm of the Royal Bank of Canada has hired Nicolo Foschetti as a director in its structured interest rate sales group in London.

Foschetti joins from Bank of America, where he was a principal and co-head of Southern Europe regional sales.

Shop Direct
Neil Chandler, who was previously chief executive officer at Sainsbury’s Bank, has been appointed as financial services chief executive officer at the online and home shopping retailer.

Chandler has also worked at HBOS, Royal Sun Alliance and Accenture.
