City Moves for 2 October 2009 | Who’s switching jobs

Clydesdale Bank
The bank, part of the National Australia Bank group, has appointed John Holm as a director in its corporate and structured finance team in London.

Holm was previously director of insurance in Europe for National Australia Bank. He has also spent over 30 years working at the Royal Bank of Scotland, latterly in the corporate banking division, where he specialised in M&A activity in the insurance industry.

Sovereign Capital
The private equity firm has hired Ed Goddard in its research and direct origination team.

Goddard joins from executive search firm Redgrave Partners, where he was responsible for business development and account management. Prior to that, he worked at financial data firm Capital IQ, where he led the European private equity research team.

RSIM
Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management has hired Sanjiv Tumkur as an equity research analyst.

Tumkur joins from Alliance Bernstein, where he was a mid cap equity research analyst.

Standard Life Investments
The fund manager has appointed Nuala Walsh as head of marketing.

Walsh previously worked at BlackRock where, for the past six years, she was a managing director and head of international marketing.

She has also worked as a management consultant and as a project manager in debt finance at Merrill Lynch.
