Financial Services Skills Council
The FSSC has appointed Legal & General’s Adrian Clark and Santander’s Bernadette Brown, pictured, to its board of directors.

Clark is L&G’s chief operating officer for protection throughout the UK as well as director of its Cardiff site. Brown is a human resources business partner for Santander’s UK businesses, based in the group’s Belfast offices.

Shore Capital
The investment banking group has hired Hugh Rogers as business development manager within its asset management division.

Rogers previously spent nine years at independent financial advisory firm Bestinvest, overseeing the venture capital trust (VCT) department.

In his new role, he will be tasked with raising Shore Capital’s profile within the retail market and promoting its VCT and alternative investment products.

Pictet Funds
The fund management firm, a division of Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie, has appointed Emma Stenzel as a sales manager for southern England.

Stenzel formerly worked for ten years at Schroders, where she was an advisory business team manager.

State Street Global Markets
State Street’s investment research, trading and securities lending arm has appointed Kevin O’Neill and Samina Vernon to its transition management team in London.

O’Neill previously worked as a senior transition manager at Nomura and Lehman Brothers, while Vernon formerly held the same role at Barclays Global Investors.
