CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS

TalkTalk
The broadband provider has appointed David Cooper as chief information officer.

Cooper will be responsible for the firm’s IT systems and, in particular, will oversee the integration of those systems with Tiscali UK, which it acquired in May for £236m.

He previously worked at BT during the 1980s and 1990s, and most recently spent seven years at mobile operator 3 as chief technology and operations officer.

UniCredit Group
The financial services group has appointed Nick Crawford as global head of FX, reporting directly to global co-head of markets TJ Lim.

Crawford, who will be based in London, joined the firm in 2007 as head of rates and FX for North America and global head of foreign exchange derivative trading. Prior to that, he was global co-head of FX trading for Merrill Lynch in New York.

Focus Solutions Group
The financial services enterprise solutions provider has hired Ronald Whatford as a non-executive director.

Whatford, 60, has previously held senior executive roles across Lloyds Banking Group, including managing director of operations at Scottish Widows. He was most recently chief experience officer and managing director of store services at Lloyds TSB.

Minster Pharmaceuticals
The Aim-listed drug development firm has appointed Dr Rajinder Kumar as a consultant.

Kumar was formerly vice-president and global head of clinical psychiatry at GlaxoSmithKline, which he left in 2002. He has since held various positions at international pharmaceuticals companies and established his own consultancy, MeRaD, in 2005.

Novae Group
The specialist insurance and reinsurance group has hired John Renz as director of human resources.

Renz joins from financial services administration and advisory firm Mourant, where he spent five years as HR director. Prior to that, while at CMS Cameron McKenna, he helped to manage the merger of Cameron Markby Hewitt and McKenna, and he has also held senior positions at Standard Life, Grant Thornton and Linklaters.

Talaris
The cash management solutions firm has appointed a new chairman, Paul Heiden, who was most recently chief executive of international engineering group FKI.

Heiden, 52, has extensive experience from senior finance and management positions at Mercury Communications, Hanson and Rolls Royce, where he was appointed to the board in 1997 as director of industrial business and subsequently became finance director.
