City Moves for 8 November – who’s switching jobs at Civilisedbank, Legal & General and Avon?

Who’s switching jobs today?

Civilisedbank

Civilisedbank, the digital small and medium enterprise (SME) bank with relationship managers, announced the appointment of commercial finance expert Nick Baker as head of intermediaries.

Nick joins from a national commercial mortgage broker, where he was managing director for five years, responsible for day-to-day operations and the development of the business. He led the business in achieving full FCA Permissions and securing notable industry recognition for the company. He is also an enterprise mentor with The Prince’s Trust.

At Civilisedbank Nick will primarily focus on leading the development and execution of the bank’s Introducer Strategy, supporting the delivery of market leading commercial products and spearheading the relationship with the bank’s intermediary partners. Civilisedbank is building a digital SME bank which will offer business customers access to experienced banking experts, finance solutions and digital banking that make their business lives easier.

Legal & General

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has announced the appointment of Sonja Laud to the new role of deputy chief investment officer (Deputy CIO), reporting to Anton Eser, CIO. William Riley has also been appointed head of solutions, reporting to Sonja.

Sonja has broad experience in the asset-management industry, having held senior investment management roles at Fidelity International, Barings, Schroders and DWS. She has worked as a senior global macro fund manager and an asset allocation specialist, developing outcome-orientated products for clients. Her most recent role was head of equity at Fidelity International, where she was a member of the firm’s global equity management team.

William has held a number of senior portfolio management roles at Blackrock, including head of client solutions portfolio management EMEA, with responsibility for developing, assembling and managing investment solutions across multiple strategies and asset classes. He has worked across strategies, including liability-driven investment (LDI), fixed income and multi-asset as well as fiduciary management.

Avon

Avon has announced that Tatiana Piccolo is to join as vice president global fragrance. A seasoned marketing executive with nearly two decades experience in beauty and direct selling, Tatiana joins on 26 November, reporting to fellow newcomer James Thompson. James joined on 1 November to lead Avon’s brand rejuvenation following a 24-year career at Diageo.
