Who’s switching jobs? Check out these movers and shakers…

Dolfin

Dolfin, the independent and agile wealth management platform, has appointed Richard Gray as head of investment management, a newly created role within the firm. In his new position, Richard will lead Dolfin’s investment team and further strengthen its asset management capabilities to best meet the needs of its private and institutional clients. His experience will enable him to add further sophistication to Dolfin’s investment management approach, delivering in-depth qualitative and quantitative investment methodologies.

Richard joins Dolfin from ACPI, where he was co-head of institutional wealth management. Before ACPI, Richard was at Credit Suisse where he was the head of the Special Situations team and co-head of the multi-asset group. Prior to that, Richard was an investment analyst at Credit Suisse and UBS. He managed the utilities research franchise at Credit Suisse and was co-head of UBS’s top-ranked utilities equity research team.

Brewdog

Independent craft brewer Brewdog has appointed David Gates as managing director of Brewdog Distilling. David brings 27 years of experience in the industry to the team. Brewdog’s distilling arm, Lonewolf, recently revealed plans to expand its spirit range beyond its vodka and gin to encompass whisky and rum.

David brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at Diageo, where he worked for 27 years and departed earlier this year as managing director of Diageo Futures. He was instrumental in driving growth of Diageo’s Premium Core spirits portfolio, which accounts for 50 per cent of the company’s total net sales. During his time as global whisky category director, he established steady and sustained growth for Scotch Whisky and as Johnnie Walker global brand director, he led the brand in becoming the most profitable international spirits brand in the world.

Whistl

Whistl, the delivery management company has announced the appointment of James Hayes as the director of business development at Parcelhub, the business it acquired earlier this year. James joins the company from Parcel Station, a parcel delivery management company he co-founded in 2010, where he built up a deep familiarity and knowledge within the industry.

James began his career at TNT UK where he spent eight years in various sales positions. James will report into Mark Rosenberg, Managing Director of Parcelhub. Parcelhub provides ecommerce shipping and fulfilment, and multi-carrier shipping and ecommerce customer service solutions for small to medium sized e-tailers.
