Cushman & Wakefield

Edward Gregg has joined Cushman & Wakefield’s London project management and consultancy team as partner. Edward, who has focused on large-scale fit outs during his 19-year career – particularly in the banking, finance and insurance sectors – jointly led the JLL London fit-out team and has a string of successful and high-profile projects to his name. These include the 220,000 sq ft fit-out and relocation of four national newspaper titles from Wapping to Thomas More Square; various trading floor projects in Canary Wharf towers; the office, front of house and client broker facilities of numerous city insurance companies and an extensive campus refurbishment for a leading software company on Thames Valley Park, Reading.

Fieldfisher

European law firm Fieldfisher has hired Yohanna Weber as a partner in the firm's real estate practice. Yohanna is a specialist in the consenting of major development and nationally significant infrastructure projects, in particular energy and transport infrastructure, industrial and commercial schemes, large mixed-use development and urban regeneration. Yohanna has extensive experience in the promotion of projects by way of development consent order, transport and works act order, major/multi-authority planning applications, compulsory purchase orders and acts for developments of international interconnector cables and pipelines. Yohanna originally trained in Queensland, Australia, and qualified as a solicitor in 2003. She moved to the UK in 2008 and worked as a planning solicitor in local government, before moving to Dundas and Wilson in 2011 and onto Eversheds in 2013.

City Financial

City Financial, the independent investment management firm with over $4bn in group assets, has appointed four new senior executives. Amy Wong, William Dumas, Justin Brodersen and Simon Taylor have joined the firm and all four will report directly to Lou Thorne, global chief operating officer. They all join from Fortress Investment Group where they previously worked with Lou in the liquid markets business. Amy Wong was co-director of operations and treasury, William Dumas was co-Director of operations, Justin Brodersen was director of middle office, and Simon Taylor was UK operations manager. Amy, William and Justin will be based in New York, while Simon will be based in London.

Focusrite

Focusrite, the global music and audio products company, has appointed Timothy Paul Carroll as group chief executive officer. Timothy will take up the appointment and join the board of the group on 3 January 2017 taking over from Dave Froker, who retires at the end of December. Timothy has enjoyed a distinguished career with Avid Technology, the professional video and audio technology company, where most recently he was a vice-president with global responsibility for audio products. He has extensive management and sales experience and is familiar with many of Focusrite’s existing customers, products and sales channels.
