City Moves for 4 December – who’s switching jobs at Spire Healthcare, Sage Group and Mizuho International?

Who’s swapping jobs today?

Spire Healthcare

Spire Healthcare has promoted Alison Dickinson to the newly-created role of group clinical director with a remit of overseeing quality of care across the company’s 39 hospitals and 11 clinics. Alison joins the executive leadership team of the UK’s leading independent hospital group having previously served as the company’s chief nursing officer. She joined the company in 2013 as the head of clinical services at Spire’s Leicester hospital.

Prior to that she worked extensively in the NHS in senior clinical management roles having started general nurse training at the age of 18. In addition to her role at Spire, she is also vice chair of the Department of Health Independent Sector Nursing Advisory Forum. Her new role will see her oversee the setting of quality strategy standards across all clinical sites, as well as leading relationships with regulators such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In addition, she will also provide clinical guidance.

Sage Group

The Sage Group (Sage) announces today the appointment of Jonathan Howell to the role of chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from 10 December 2018. Jonathan brings significant experience as a public company CFO, having most recently been group finance director of Close Brothers Group for ten years, and prior to this, CFO of the London Stock Exchange Group.

In addition, he has been a non-executive director and chairman of the audit and risk committee at Sage since 2013, a position he will leave on commencement of his executive role.

Mizuho International

Mizuho International (Mizuho International), the London based securities and investment banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group, has appointed Jonathan Murray as head of EMEA equity syndicate and equity-linked origination. Murray has joined Mizuho International from Deutsche Bank.

During his 13 year career at Deutsche, he held various positions in convertible bonds and equity-linked capital markets including head of EMEA and APAC convertibles analysis and director of convertible bonds and equity-linked capital markets.
