City Moves for 28 August 2018 – who’s switching jobs at Johnson Service Group, Glenny and Buro Four?

Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group has appointed Christopher (Chris) Francis Girling to the board as an independent non-executive director with effect from 29 August. Chris will also assume the role of audit committee chairman with effect from the same date. With his recent and relevant financial experience, Chris is a valuable addition to the board bringing a wealth of knowledge from a number of relevant sectors as both a finance director and audit committee chairman. An experienced audit committee chairman and finance professional, Chris is a Chartered Accountant by training and has a background in a variety of sectors. Since retiring from full-time executive roles in 2007, Chris has pursued a non-executive career spanning publicly quoted companies, a private family business and a partnership and has chaired five audit committees and one pension fund. He is currently a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee of Workspace Group, Keller Group and South East Water Limited as well as chair of trustees for the Slaughter and May Pension Fund.

Glenny

Glenny has appointed Khalifa Forte as senior surveyor in its valuation team to grow the team’s profile, with particular focus in the south east London and Kent area. Khalifa joins Glenny with over 10 years’ experience working in the surveying property industry. He was previously a senior surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s central London office. During this time, he has built up an impressive portfolio, working with numerous high-profile clients including, the British Coal Pension Superannuation Fund, Hansteen Holding and the Educational Fund Agency. At Glenny, Khalifa will undertake a range of valuation services including loan securities and financial statements, across the industrial, office, retail and residential property sectors. His in-depth knowledge will contribute to the existing team and the wider Glenny business.

Buro Four

Buro Four, the independent, specialist provider of project management associated services, has announced the next step in its recent expansion with the appointment of two London directors. Julian Kent joins as project director after seven years at Gleeds and most recently, ten years at Faithful+Gould, and James Foreman also joins as project director from Faithful+Gould. Julian joins the company after almost 30 years in the construction industry. He has spent the last 10 years at Gleeds as a regional director. James brings almost 22 years of experience to Buro Four. James began his career with Costain before moving to Faithful + Gould and Clarson Goff. He has spent the past six years working for a private sector client.
