Who’s on the move?

SThree

SThree, the international STEM specialist staffing business, is pleased to announce that Denise Collis has been appointed in the newly-formed role of employee representative non-executive director, with effect from 1 December 2018. This appointment is an early adoption of recently announced changes to the UK Corporate Governance Code, due to come into effect in 2019-2020. The update highlights the increasing need to consider the employee voice at board level as well as throughout the business.

This early appointment is in line with SThree’s best practice corporate governance aspiration, as well as its culture of creating a positive and inclusive work environment which empowers its people. Denise joined the board in July 2016 and currently sits on the audit, nomination and remuneration committees, chairing the latter. She has previously held roles at Bupa and 3i group.

Saxo Bank

Saxo Bank, the leading Fintech specialist focused on multi-asset trading and investment, today announces the appointment of Thomas Hovard to the position as chief operations officer of global distribution and client services, effective from 4 February 2019. He will report directly to Damian Bunce, chief commercial officer of Saxo Bank. Hovard joins Saxo Bank from Danske Bank where he most recently served as global head of DCM sales and research.

During his 16 year tenure with Danske Bank he has held several positions in both research and sales. In his role at Saxo Bank, he will be responsible for the ongoing operations of the global distribution and client services organisation. Damian Bunce commented on the appointment: “We look forward to welcoming Thomas. He brings extensive leadership experience and a strong skillset that will further strengthen our renowned client service.”

Savills

Savills has boosted its sustainability team with four new appointments, including associate director Suzanne Roberts, associate Sarune Ringelyte and two sustainability analysts, Rebecca James and Bethany Hudd. All four will be based at the firm’s Finsbury Circus office in Canada. Suzanne Roberts has more than 18 years’ experience in the property sector having previously worked at Inteb Sustainability Ltd, Capita and CBRE. At Savills Suzanne will focus on sustainability advisory work for both new and existing clients including Legal & General and Bloomberg.

Sarune Ringelyte joins from British Land where she held a number of sustainability roles over the past nine years focusing on improving measurement and reporting of environmental and social impacts. Rebecca James joins from CBRE where she was a graduate geomatics surveyor. As a sustainability consultant she will support on client mandate work for firms. Bethany Hudd has joined the team as an analyst having just graduated from St Andrew’s University.
