Intermediate Capital Group

​Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), the specialist asset manager, has appointed Brian Marshall as managing director of business and product development for its US capital markets business. His responsibilities will include capital formation, developing and managing investor relationships, and contributing to the development of new products. Brian will interact extensively with ICG’s global distribution team. He has nearly two decades of experience in credit and structured credit markets having worked with various companies in different roles. He joins ICG from GoldenTree Asset Management where he was managing director responsible for raising capital for credit and structured credit alternatives vehicles. Prior to joining GoldenTree in 2013, Brian spent 15 years at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, where he most recently served as a managing director and head of structured credit sales. He held a number of leadership roles within the credit business, focused on collateralised loan obligation and structured products origination and distribution as well as complex restructuring opportunities. Brian holds a BA degree in economics with distinction from Yale University.

Simon-Kucher & Partners

The global pricing strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has appointed City-based Peter Colman to be one of its 97 partners worldwide. Peter joined Simon-Kucher in 2008, and will lead the consultancy’s technology and Industrials practice in the UK and Ireland. Peter has generated strong profit enhancement results for Simon-Kucher’s clients throughout his 18 years in consulting and industry. He specialises in commercial excellence programmes to address strategy, sales and marketing, pricing and product management topics. He works with corporate clients, private equity-backed companies and venture capital-backed start-ups across Europe and North America.

RateSetter

RateSetter has appointed Michael Hoare as head of risk analytics and retail credit. Michael joins from PayPal UK, where he was chief credit risk officer, overseeing underwriting, customer management and collections strategies for unsecured consumer and small business lending among other roles. Before PayPal UK, Michael worked at Capital One, where he held a number of positions including credit risk management director, head of portfolio management, and head of third party marketing. He joins an established risk team which reports into RateSetter’s risk committee. The committee is chaired by Jim Gunner who was previously senior executive for group risk at HSBC.
