Today's City Moves cover legal eagles, asset management and sports. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

DMH Stallard

DMH Stallard has appointed Carolyn Lee as a solicitor in its London real estate and construction team. Carolyn most recently worked in the construction group at Linklaters, where she acted for major property developers. Her skills will be a great addition to DMH Stallard’s team as it increases its work on significant transactions with developers, funders, owners and occupiers. She has excellent experience in the drafting and negotiation of all documents required to procure developments and will be advising on construction obligations in real estate transactional documents, such as development agreements and agreements for lease.

Smith & Williamson

Rupert Phelps has been appointed partner at Smith & Williamson, leading the group’s family office services (FOS). Rupert came from establishing an FOS business at Savills and formerly was for seven years the director of FOS at BNY Mellon. Rupert’s other roles include being a board member of a single family office, global head of private banking and wealth management at Euromoney and holding other senior positions at both UBS Global Asset Management and Merrill Lynch.

JP Morgan Asset Management

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Bryon Lake as head of international exchange traded funds (ETFs), a newly created role. Bryon will be based in London and will be responsible for driving and accelerating the firm’s international ETF expansion. He will partner with distribution, client service and investment teams to identify opportunities in the growing ETF product categories in Europe and Asia. Bryon joins from Invesco Powershares, where he held various positions in his 12-year tenure, including most recently serving as head of Invesco PowerShares EMEA. As one of the industry’s most accomplished ETF executives, Bryon brings impressive leadership and momentum to the JP Morgan team.

Formula 1

Formula 1 has appointed Murray Barnett as global head of sponsorship and commercial partnerships and Matthew Roberts as global head of research. Murray will take up the role on 25 April, while Matthew will join on 1 June. Both will report to Sean Bratches, who is managing director of commercial operations. Murray is a sports marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience in media, marketing and sponsorship worldwide. At Formula 1, he will lead the sport’s global sponsor sales division, targeting new commercial opportunities across all platforms. Matthew will head up Formula 1’s commercial research division, looking in-depth at existing markets where the sport has a presence and identifying new sales opportunities.
