Today's City Moves cover electric vehicles, public relations, financial services and the travel sector. Take a look at these movers and shakers:

Instavolt

Electric vehicle charging specialist Instavolt has strengthened its senior team by appointing Adrian Keen as chief financial officer (CFO). A qualified chartered accountant, Adrian joins Instavolt with a wealth of experience in both practice and industry. This includes being the former CFO of Anesco, one of the top 100 cleantech companies in the world. During his time there, turnover grew from £21m to over £200m, seeing Anesco ranked the fastest growing private company in the country. Adrian has also been CFO at private-equity owned international consultancy business Alpha FMC Group, and Financial Controller at P2i Ltd, a rapidly growing company operating within the field of nano-technology. In both roles, he had responsibility for all day-to-day aspects of financial control, as well as managing relationships with external auditors and stakeholders.

PRCA

Neil Bennett MPRCA has been appointed to the PRCA board of management. Neil has been Maitland’s chief executive since 2010. He originally joined the firm in 2004 from Gavin Anderson & Company UK, the financial and corporate communications group. Neil advises a wide range of Maitland’s clients on their strategic communications issues and has overseen a series of Europe’s largest M&A transactions, IPOs and reputation management briefs over the past decade. Before starting his career as a consultant, Neil spent 16 years as a financial editor, columnist, presenter and journalist. Neil received the Outstanding Contribution Award at the PRCA City and Financial Awards 2016.

Bovill

Philip Halford has joined the London office of financial services regulatory consultancy Bovill. Philip has over 30 years of experience in the international financial services industry, working specifically across the banking and insurance sectors. He has held a number of high-profile roles serving as EMEA director of claims governance, risk and counter fraud for Zurich Insurance and as associate partner at IBM where he worked on its global insurance counter fraud programme.

Travel Counsellors

Jim Eastwood has been appointed global sales director at Travel Counsellors, the provider of bespoke corporate and leisure travel. He joins from Groupon, where he held a number of senior leadership roles, and was most recently the firm’s vice-president of sales for the UK and Ireland. In over five years at Groupon, he maintained the office as the largest market outside of the US parent.
