City Moves for 10 April 2019 – Who’s switching jobs at Actis, Funding Options and Feast It?

Today's City Moves includes Actis, Funding Options and Feast It.

Actis

Actis, a global growth markets investor, has announced the appointment of Susan Wilkins as chief financial officer. Susan will be based in London and report to Torbjorn Caesar, senior partner of Actis. Susan will join the Actis executive committee.

Susan was the chief financial officer and head of legal at Globeleq, a power industry leader in growth markets, founded by Actis in 2002 and chaired by Torbjorn Caesar. Susan was an integral part of the successful Globeleq journey and the subsequent exit process. Susan joins Actis from Lekela Power, a pan-African renewable energy platform, established by Actis and Mainstream in 2015.

Funding Options

Funding Options, the UK’s online marketplace for business finance, today announces Simon Cureton has been appointed as its new commercial director. Simon will be responsible for developing and implementing Funding Options' overall commercial strategy, identifying new opportunities and promoting commercial innovation across the business. Building on Funding Options’ participation in the Bank Referral Scheme, and existing successful partnerships with TSB and ING, he will work on deepening relationships with commercial and challenger banks. He will also be focusing on developing other new and existing partnerships, such as those Funding Options has already established with the likes of Auto Trader and GoCompare.

Simon has extensive experience in the alternative finance sector, having been one of the founding members at Esme Loans, and working as its commercial director for the past year. Prior to starting Esme, Simon worked for RBS International as part of its transformation programme and his global experience spans other world-leading financial companies including Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Deutsche Bank.

Feast It

Feast It, the UK’s booking platform for event catering, has appointed Lucas London, the vice president of international at skills marketplace Airtasker, as its investor director. Lucas is an existing investor in Feast It along with a number of experienced executives and entrepreneurs.

As investor director, Lucas brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to Feast It’s board, having driven a number of startup businesses to international success. In addition to leading the expansion of Airtasker outside Australia, he is also a director at F&B Kitchen and the co-working space, Karma Kitchen and a mentor on the Escape The City and Virgin start-up programmes, winning Virgin’s Mentoring Star of 2017.
