City Moves for 01 April 2014 | Who’s switching jobs

Hammerson
The retail property company has announced the appointment of Sophie Ross as head of multichannel. She joins from Home Retail Group, where she held multichannel and marketing roles.

HSBC Global Asset Management
The asset management business has made two senior appointments to its equity product team. Nacho Font joins from DIAM International, where he was a business development manager and equity product specialist. Stephen Tong will be responsible for the firm’s global equity capabilities. Tong was formerly managing director and head of emerging market portfolio management at Vontobel Asset Management.

Berenberg Bank
The European investment and private bank has hired Vanessa Skoura as head of international key clients. She has over 20 years’ experience in private banking, and joins from HSBC Private Bank. Prior to that, she held roles at ABN Amro Bank and Credit Suisse.

Rathbones
Andrew Pitt has been appointed head of charities for London at the investment management firm. He was most recently at Newton Investment Management, where he was responsible for growing and managing its UK charity business. He previously held similar roles at UBS Wealth Management.

Osborne Clarke
The law firm has appointed Gavin Jones as head of its immigration practice. He has over 20 years’ experience advising on immigration issues, and joins from Blake Lapthorn, where he built and led its immigration practice.

Charles Stanley Group
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Anthony Scott as head of investment management. He joined in 1999, having previously served in the British Army and worked at the Swire Group.

Newedge
Steeve Charvet has been appointed global head of financial futures options for equities and fixed income at the brokerage business. He has over 20 years’ trading experience. Charvet was formerly a founder and partner at ETC. Prior to that, he held sales positions at Tullet, Tradition and Credit Lyonnais.
