OK, Yankees, it’s on! The Carnegie Links 18-hole Championship is set to host the ultimate golfing face-off between the best of the City and the best of Wall Street.

In a Ryder Cup-style format, the most respected golfers from financial institutions from both financial centres will go head-to-head in celebration of the links Andrew Carnegie had with both countries, his roots being in Scotland and his business empire originating in America.

Participants will primarily be Partner and C-suite golfers from the world’s most respected financial institutions and affiliates. The Carnegie Links Cup will provide access to a private network of influential financial industry personnel from either side of The Pond, bringing together individuals across a broad range of financial services industries who can interact in a private and trusted environment. The title sponsor is Netjets, team sponsor is Dragon Advisory, while event partners are KJUS, Waddesdon Wines, Glenmorangie, Highland Spring, Overfinch, and Davidoff cigars. City PM is proud to be the media partner.

Just like the Ryder Cup, the Carnegie Cup will incorporate various match play competitions, with all matches being held over 18 holes.

The Carnegie Links is an 18-hole Championship course on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, offering players 6,833 yards of golfing wonderland. There are no tee times, so members are free to play as and when the mood takes them. With its relaxed atmosphere and array of golf professionals on hand for tuition, the Carnegie Links is ideal for all levels, from beginners to accomplished golfers. Professionals including Paul Lawrie, Sandy Lyle and Jack Nicklaus have played the course and it is frequently rated among the top 150 courses in the United Kingdom.

The Skibo Clubhouse is a bastion of Highland luxury, with views over both the Carnegie Links and the Dornoch Firth. There is also a fully-stocked Halfway House where they can partake of some light refreshments to fortify them for the return leg back to the Clubhouse.
