Food start-up the nu company is revitalising the chocolate industry with its healthy nucao bars.

The creamy vegan chocolate has a rich, nutty, indulgent flavour powered by hemp seeds, nuts and acerola — with 65% less sugar than normal chocolate bars.

The company is looking to set the bar for climate positive business models, and so it’s entirely cruelty-free, uses organic ingredients in 100% compostable wrappers, and even plants one tree for every bar sold ­ — so far it’s planted six million trees in just five years and spared more than nine tonnes of plastic.
