Chelsea will buy again in our own time, says Cech

CHELSEA goalkeeper Petr Cech expects the club to do further business before the start of the season – but insists there is no hurry.

The Blues have made just three signings this summer, with £18m Russia international Yuri Zhirkov the only major arrival.

But Cech says new manager Carlo Ancelotti, who only took over on 1 July, needs time to size up his squad before deciding who should come and go.

“The squad always needs one, two or three new players. But a new coach will want to learn about the team before looking for some new signings,” said Cech.

“I think it’s too early for new signings. Now we are going to spend one week training in London and then we leave for the United States on a 10-day tour. So there is still plenty of time. Chelsea will do business.”
