PORSCHE’S GREEN LEAD
Dreams can come true…Porsche has announced it will build its astonishing 918 Spyder concept for the road. The mid-engined plug-in hybrid super-sports car should have a top speed of 200mph and a 0-62mph time of just 3.2 seconds, yet should emit just 70g/km of CO2 with fuel consumption of around 94mpg. Its technology should also change the car industry forever.

COLLECTOR’S GOLD
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a car collector, a rare convertible version of the most famous Aston Martin ever made – the DB5 – is coming up for sale on 25 September. Only 123 convertible examples of the DB5 were made and this car – which should fetch around £450,000, 100 times more than the original price – features an extremely rare factory-fitted hardtop. www.historics.co.uk

FIAT LIMITED EDITION
Fiat has launched a limited edition 500 model in a special – and quite stunning – matt black paint.

The paint has only been available on supercars up until now. Called BlackJack, the car comes with matching matt black 16-inch alloy wheels and red brake callipers. Just 200 cars are available in the UK and the car can only be bought online.
