WOLVES winger Matt Jarvis last night received his first England call-up ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifier with Wales and the friendly against Ghana at Wembley on 29 March.

With Theo Walcott and Adam Johnson ruled out through injury, Capello has handed Jarvis his chance to compete for starting spots with Aaron Lennon and Ashley Young in a 26-man squad.

Tottenham star Lennon is included for the first time since England’s last qualifier against Montenegro in October.

However, more notable is the return of new Liverpool striker Andy Carroll, who impressed Capello hugely when he made his full senior debut in the 2-1 friendly defeat to France at Wembley last November.

ENGLAND SQUAD
Goalkeepers: Foster, Green, Hart. Defenders: Cahill, Cole, Dawson, Jagielka, Johnson, Lescott, Terry, Walker. Midfielders:  Barry, Downing, Jarvis, Lampard, Lennon, Milner, Parker, Wilshere, Young. Forwards: Bent, Carroll, Crouch, Defoe, Rooney.
