The annuaL ING Discerning Eye Exhibition opens to the public today at The Mall Galleries in London. Bringing new artists to new audiences, the exhibition is a rare opportunity to see the work of up-and-coming artists alongside that of internationally recognised names.
The exhibition is assembled by six prominent figures from the art world. Works are drawn from a public submission that regularly attracts over 2,000 entries and from artists invited by the individual selectors. This year’s selectors are artists Stephen Farthing RA and Eileen Hogan; collectors Loyd Grossman OBE and Director of the Courtauld Institute of Art, Professor Deborah Swallow; and art critics Estelle Lovatt FRSA and Liz Anderson of The Spectator. They join an illustrious list from previous shows including HRH The Prince of Wales, Joan Bakewell, Peter Blake and Griff Rhys Jones.

The show enjoys an excellent reputation among art lovers and collectors alike for its unique and highly personal approach to exhibiting the works, which include paintings and prints, drawing, photography and sculpture. All the art on show is for sale.
The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition 2013 will run in the Mall Galleries, London SW1, from 14-24 November 2013. Admission is free, 10am-5pm daily.
