BRIDGESTONE yesterday said it would stop supplying tyres for Formula One racing cars when its current contract runs out in 2010. The decision by the Japanese manufacturer, who has been the sole supplier for the car chase since 2007, to quit F1 follows a host of other high-profile companies, including Japan’s Honda and Germany’s BMW, who have pulled out due to the global downturn.
