Bulletproof Big Bucks looks best in the World

On St Patrick’s Day there is no other place to be than Cheltenham with a drop of the black stuff. And I think we’ll be seeing a couple of Irish winners too.

Poquelin will be all the rage in the Ryanair Chase after some high profile challengers dropped out but I think it might be Kalahari King who gets his head in front. He’s been crying out for the step up in trip and his trainer is as good as there is for the big occasion.

The World Hurdle is the feature race and it’ll take something very special to dethrone Big Bucks. Many have been looking to pick holes in the champ but for me he is bulletproof. I just don’t see any chinks in his armour and he’s arguably the proverbial penalty kick of the whole week.

The other races are hard to call but I do have a leaning for Sivota in the Pertemps Final and Saddlers Storm in the Kim Muir. Both are Irish dark horses and being trained by Willie Mullins and Tony Martin respectively – ignore them at your peril.
