Budget 2016: Top Gear’s Matt Le Blanc filming across London is distracting George Osborne from his Budget

George Osborne is prepping for a busy week ahead of him, but there's nothing worse than a distraction popping up right at the exact moment you need to concentrate.

Kids? Other half? Football? No, it's something a little more unusual to blame for taking the chancellor's mind off the maths – a beloved TV celebrity speeding around London gets the rap.

Fresh from gatecrashing a couple's wedding at St Paul's Cathedral, former Friends star and new Top Gear host Matt Le Blanc is now zipping around many of the most famous sites of central London. Tower Bridge? Check. Parliament Square? Check. Horseguards Parade? Check.

That, however, is rather close to Downing Street and George Osborne at number 11.

Trying to write my Budget, despite noisy episode of @BBC_TopGear being filmed outside on Horseguards Parade. Keep it down please @achrisevans

Now we know who'll be getting the blame for any mistakes or miscalculations come Wednesday's Budget speech.

Matt Le Blanc meanwhile, has been showing off his tour of London, closing off streets across the capital for the new Top Gear show.
