SWIMMING: Great Britain’s women’s 200m freestyle relay team took bronze on a night where seven world records tumbled at the World Championships in Rome.

The quartet of Jo Jackson, Jazmin Carlin, Caitlin McClatchey, and Rebecca Adlington were beaten to gold by China, while the United States took silver.

The highlight, however, was Ryan Lochte taking Michael Phelps’s record in the men’s 200m individual medley.
