Britain’s Alistair Brownlee completed a double home triumph by winning the men’s elite race in the London leg of the ITU World Series. The win in Hyde Park saw him meet the qualifying criteria for next summer’s Olympics and followed the success of compatriot Helen Jenkins, who won the women’s elite race on Saturday. Brownlee’s younger brother Jonathan finished third, also meeting the standard for London 2012.
