Black Friday 2015 UK: Why here at very.co.uk we can’t wait for Cyber Week’s big shopping day

Black Friday was our biggest trading day last year, and we can't wait for it again this year. We're planning bigger and better deals over a longer period to make this Black Friday our best ever.

Over Cyber Week last year we got nearly 50,000 new customers and we were delighted almost half of them shopped again in the next season.

Black Friday is not just about the sales on the day. It's a terrific opportunity for us profitably to gain market share and loyal customers. We’d be mad not to throw everything we can at it.

We’re anticipating even higher levels of demand this year than we saw last year and we’ve been preparing since February to make sure we can make this Black Friday as fun, easy and bargain-filled for our customers as possible.

Although Black Friday was a big success the level of demand took us by surprise. We’re better prepared this year and we’ve taken on almost 2,000 temporary staff across our warehouses and contact centres to ensure we can offer customers the best possible experience across Cyber Fortnight.

We’re ready to process 8m orders and handle 1.9m contacts from customers in the run-up to Christmas, with 250,000 orders being processed and 50,000 customer contacts answered on Black Friday alone.

And we’ve worked hard with our delivery partners too. We have 700 extra goods vehicles and 3,000 more people to help us cover the anticipated levels of demand.

The excitement will begin on ‪Very.co.uk on Monday, November 23, with new deals across all categories being unlocked daily.
