The frenzied sales of Black Friday have become synonymous with crazed customers fighting over cut-price HD TVs amid shopping aisle stampedes – but it doesn't have to be so stressful.

In fact, avoid going out altogether and instead of a new screen to give your eyes a good glazing, order some sportswear to get you off the couch and into the gym.

There's plenty of good sports deals to be found online this weekend, we've rounded up some of the best outlets below.

JD Sports: The high street store currently has over 3,000 items on offer for Black Friday, with the majority priced between £0 – £25. Nike and adidas are the two most popular brands in the sale, with 719 items between them.

Sports Direct: Mike Ashley's sportswear retailer is good for a bargain most of the time and has got one over its rivals this year by already announcing a series of flash sales on particular brands and categories. Salomon shoes are going for 70 per cent off today, for example.

SportShoes.com:  If you're looking for some shiny new running gear to motivate you to get into shape, SportShoes.com is cutting prices by 50 to 76 per cent this week.

Amazon.co.uk: Work out the body and mind by adding to your book purchase on Amazon with sportswear brands such as adidas, Nike, The North Face, Under Armour, Asics, Berghaus, Puma, Mizuno and Speedo.

Columbia: Eyeing up a getaway to the great outdoors? Planning a ski trip? Hiking company Columbia has over 200 products on sale.

Decathlon: Black Friday deals will stretch out across the weekend at Decathlon, who are offering up to 70 per cent off on certain items and free delivery for any order over £70.

Sweat Shop: The running specialists are offering £10 off every £50 spent over the weekend.

Kitbag: The official team merchandise outlet will be involved in the festivities but is yet to announce any specific deal. Last year it limited sales – such as free player shirt printing, to small two hour windows throughout the day.

NFL: American football fans can get 20 per cent off all clothing from the league's Europe store before the end of the weekend.

ProDirect: With Andy Murray and Great Britain set to inspire the nation in the Davis Cup final this weekend, the online store is serving up Black Friday tennis deals, alongside other sports, to those who sign up via its website.

GO Outdoors: The outdoor retailer will be offering up to 65% across a selection of outdoor equipment for the entire weekend with most Black Friday deals at 50% off retail price.

To help you plan ahead, you can find all the latest deals, news and opinion on Black Friday here, including Sainsbury's, Tesco, Currys PC World, Apple and Amazon. But don't expect to find Asda among them this year, the supermarket has set a precedent and pulled out of the sales bonanza.
