BILL OF THE WEEK

HERE, ladies and gentlemen, is a Thursday night blow-out any alcohol connoisseur would be proud of. Our six diners ate baked sea bass, lamb biryani, tandoori prawns and duck on their trip to Mint Leaf Lounge in the heart of the City, though the wine and cocktail selection was where the real damage was done.
They started off with gin and tonics, pornstar martinis and the über-exclusive Ultimate Old-Fashioned rum cocktail, before moving on to a bottle each of Chevalier Montrachet Les Demoiselles Grand Cru 2001, Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Louis Latour 2003 and Echezaux Grand Cru Jacques Prieur 2005.
They topped off the night with Rémy Martin Louis XIII cognacs, taking the bill to a strapping £1,779.75.
