Betting: Tottenham to squeeze past Bournemouth in goalfest

AFTER another promising start to the Premier League season, Mauricio Pochettino has Tottenham fans dreaming of winning the title.

Spurs ran Leicester close last year before fading towards the end of the season, and they’ve invested heavily in the summer in the hope of lifting their maiden Premier League trophy.

Son Heung-min, who barely featured last term, has been the star man, with an impressive five goals already this campaign.

Last week’s 1-1 draw with West Brom put an end to a four-match winning streak which included a fine 2-0 victory over Manchester City. Spurs sit just a point off the top.

Lying in wait tomorrow are a Bournemouth side who come with threat of their own.

Eddie Howe’s Cherries put six past Hull last time out, and they’ve quickly gained a reputation for playing some of the most attractive football in the top flight.

Loan signing Jack Wilshere has brought a touch of class to midfield, while Junior Stanislas and Callum Wilson make Bournemouth an attacking side to be feared.

While I think Tottenham’s class will prevail tomorrow lunchtime, questions will be asked of a Spurs defence missing Toby Alderweireld.

A Spurs win with both teams to score is 11/4 with Betway, which is what I’ll be backing.

Despite the 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday, Tottenham games usually guarantee goals.

Pochettino’s side have netted eight times in four games away from home in the league this term, including a 4-0 hammering of Stoke last month.

After seven goals at the Vitality Stadium last week, I will be buying goals at 2.85 with Sporting Index.

Pointers

Spurs win & both teams to score 11/4 (Betway)

Buy total goals 2.85 (Sporting Index)
