Betting: Draw specialists United and Spurs to continue the trend

JOSE Mourinho has hardly had the start he dreamed of after taking over at Manchester United

The Red Devils are 13 points behind leaders and Mourinho’s former club Chelsea, and are already facing a battle for fourth.

His side host Tottenham, who have been beaten just once in the Premier League but have already drawn six times.

Spurs stuck five past a hapless Swansea last weekend, and have improved since the return of the talismanic Harry Kane from injury.

The England international has four goals in his last three domestic games and has seen his striking burden eased by the breakthrough of Son Heung-min, who is already one better off than the whole of last season, with six.

United spent heavily in the summer but Mourinho has only seen glimpses from his talented side with Paul Pogba yet to really hit the heights his world-record transfer fee commands.

However, summer Bosman signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to be finally finding his feet in English football.

The Swede has scored five in his last three outings and is enjoying leading the line for United at Wayne Rooney’s expense.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has impressed in his last two outings after finally getting the nod.

The Armenian international is likely to start and could be key to unlocking a Spurs defence, which may welcome back much-missed Toby Alderweireld from injury.

In truth, it’s difficult to split these sides. Their only real consistency is picking up draws.

I suspect Mauricio Pochettino will accept a point, while Mourinho will be hoping to silence his side’s critics with a dominant display.

But I can see them cancelling each other out and you should back the draw at 12/5 with Betway.

Both sides also boast, arguably, the Premier League’s best goalkeepers in David De Gea and Hugo Lloris.

For this reason, I’ll be selling total goals at 2.5 with Sporting Index.

Pointers

Draw – 12/5 (Betway)

Sell total goals – 2.5 (Sporting Index)
