Betting: Another thriller on the cards as Monaco host Man City

If the last month of Champions League football has given us one thing, it’s been goals. And lots of them.

From Bayern Munich’s two 5-1 demolitions of Arsenal to Barcelona’s incredible 6-1 comeback over PSG, the round of 16 has seen attacking football and leaky defences come to the fore.

No game summed that up more than the pulsating epic between Manchester City and Monaco, as momentum swung back and forth, before City eventually ran out 5-3 winners.

Expect both sides to throw plenty more caution to the wind tonight, as they meet for the second-leg in the south of France.

Pep Guardiola is on the longest unbeaten run of his Man City career – Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Middlesbrough made it 11 games without defeat.

That victory sealed City’s place in the semi-finals, and the serial trophy winner could yet land a cup double in his first season in charge.

The attacking axis of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, and Sergio Aguero has really started to click – all three scored in that first-leg victory last month.

Monaco aren’t short of goals themselves, netting 123 times this season in all competitions, the most in Europe.

Former Manchester United and Chelsea loanee Radamel Falcao has 21 of those, including two at the Etihad – as many as he scored at Old Trafford in his season in red.

He looks a man reborn after his two injury-plagued years in England, and is slowly recapturing the form that saw him become one of the most feared strikers in Europe.

His deft chip for the second goal three weeks ago was pure footballing artistry – and up against a shaky City defence I think he’ll get plenty more chances to add to this term’s tally.

Back Falcao to score first at 7/2 with 188BET.

After such an unpredictable first-leg, I’m not going to stick my neck out and tip a winner of this one, but I am confident there’ll be plenty of goals.

188BET make it evens for there to be over 3.5 goals tonight, which I am happy to put my money on.

Pointers

Radamel Falcao first goalscorer – 7/2 (188BET)

Over 3.5 goals – evens (188BET)
