Bendtner set for Sporting
ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger will bolster his transfer war chest to the tune of £9m once striker Nicklas Bendtner completes his move to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
The Denmark international, 23, was given permission to miss last week’s friendly in Cologne in order to “sort his future out” having been pushed down the Arsenal pecking order following the arrival of Ivory Coast forward Gervinho.
Wenger’s band of attackers may also be boosted by the signing of Valencia’s Juan Mata, although the Spanish club insist they are still to receive a formal bid for the player.
