Beckhams party at Holborn

BRITISH football legend David Beckham partied with chief executives in Holborn last night, celebrating the launch of his sister Joanne’s City-based concierge service WeAreYourCity.

The sports star had the family reunion at the Rosewood Hotel near Charing Cross station, as Ms Beckham celebrated the start of her executive role at the company. The City’s newest chief exec has used some of her own personal connections to get the company exclusive deals.

For a measly £1,500 per year members can secure exclusive access to restaurants, hotels and designer brands..

Joanne Beckham said “I have hand picked my favourites to save our members time.” That’s handy.

■ Hell hath no fury like a politician scorned; those words never rang more true than during yesterday’s Budget. Usually the go-to cyber statement for celebrities and teenage girls, George Osborne has blocked the Liberal Democrats on Twitter. The chancellor still seems a bit bruised after the last budget announcement, when the Lib Dems tried to present their own version ahead of May’s General Election. Speaking at the time of the spat, a Lib Dem spokesperson had this frosty response: “It is what it is. We’re not going to lose too much sleep over it.” Brrr.
